The backcountry gets dirty - so does your tripod.
Follow the steps below to promote the longevity of your tripod.

1. Review the Tripod User Guide to familiarize yourself with best practices and parts mentioned below.

2. Deploy your Mountain Minimal™ tripod to its maximum height.

3. Fully remove the center column.

4. Gently clean all surfaces of your tripod with a moist rag. Be sure to wipe down legs and center column, leg locks, angle selectors, and the void left by the now removed center column.

5. Using a healthy set of lungs, blow out the teeth/grooves associated with angle selection.

6. The leg locks of your tripod are designed to stay protected from the elements. This said, ensuring these moving parts stay clean is vital to the performance of your tripod. Working one at a time, open the latch of your leg lock as if you are adjusting the length of the leg. Blow out the area below the latch.

7. Ensure all three parts of the center column are firmly tightened. Reinsert the center column and collapse your tripod. Store with care.

Notes:

Leg latches should never be difficult to close. If you run into this issue, something may have become lodged beneath the latch. Disassembly of associated components is simple. Please contact us for further instruction.
